Social Mix Padel

Social mix is padel for big, relaxed sessions: any number of players, even or odd, up to 100. Every round the app pairs you with a new partner and new opponents, the players who have waited longest play next, and the host generates one round at a time — no spreadsheet, no fixed schedule.

What is social mix padel?

Social mix is a round-by-round format built for meeting people. Instead of a fixed schedule or a leaderboard deciding who you face, each new round is drawn to give everyone the partner and opponents they have met the least.

  • Any group size works — 7, 23 or 100 players, no need to be a multiple of four.
  • Rounds are generated one at a time by the host, so the session fits the time you have.
  • Partners and opponents rotate for novelty: the draw avoids repeat partners first, repeat opponents second.
  • Everyone plays the same number of matches, give or take one — the players who rested most play next.

Rules of social mix

Social mix keeps the scoring simple and lets the app handle the rotation. These are the rules:

  • Before starting, the host sets the courts in play. Every round fills the courts with four players each.
  • Round one is drawn at random. From round two, the app pairs each player with the partner and opponents they have met the least.
  • When there are more players than court seats, the players who have rested the most play next, so nobody waits two rounds while others play two.
  • The host can bench players for a round, and latecomers can join a running session and play from the next round.
  • Each match is played to a fixed number of points, e.g. 24 or 32, and every point won counts for both players of the winning side.
  • The standings rank players by points (or wins, if the host chooses) — but the aim is to play with as many people as possible.

How many players and courts do you need?

Social mix works from 4 players up to 100. Pick the courts you actually have; the app does the rest.

  • 4 players per court play each round; with 12 players on 2 courts, 8 play and 4 rest.
  • An odd group is fine: the extra players simply rotate through the rest.
  • Set the courts before starting. With 40 players and 6 courts, 24 play per round and 16 rest, so everyone has played once after the second round.
  • Plan roughly 15–20 minutes per round with 24-point games.
  • Prefer fixed pairs? Team Social mix keeps each pair together for the whole session and rotates only the opponents, with the same fair rest rotation.

How to organize a social mix in Padel Fast

Create the session in the app or on the web, add your players and courts, and generate rounds as you go.

  1. Create a tournament and pick Social mix as the format.
  2. Add the players — from your player pool, by link or by letting them join themselves.
  3. Set the courts you have booked. The lobby shows how many play and rest each round.
  4. Start the session to draw round one, score the matches, then press Continue for the next round.
  5. Finish whenever you like: the standings and every player's history are saved.
