Watch: paying to join a tournament
When a tournament charges an entry fee with card payments, the join button becomes “Pay to join” with the amount shown. Payment happens right on the page in a secure checkout — your spot is confirmed the moment the payment goes through.
Payments are secured by Stripe and go to the tournament's organizer. You need to be signed in to a Padel Fast account to pay.
2. The checkout
Tap Pay to join.
The checkout opens on top of the tournament page with the entry fee summary and payment form.

Review the breakdown.
You see the total you'll pay, and how it splits between the organizer, tax (if the organizer charges VAT — shown with its name and rate) and the Padel Fast service fee percentage.
Pay.
Enter your card details, or use Apple Pay or Google Pay where available. When the payment succeeds you're added to the tournament, and the purchase appears in your dashboard.
If you see a message that the organizer hasn't finished setting up payments, the organizer's wallet isn't ready yet — try again later or contact them.
3. Tournaments with organizer approval
If the tournament requires organizer approval, you don't pay up front. Joining sends a request; once the organizer approves you, a “Pay” button with the amount appears on the tournament page. Your spot is confirmed when you complete that payment.
4. Refund policy
Refunds are processed automatically if you leave a tournament with an entry fee — but timing matters, and the service fee is non-refundable.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You leave more than 6 hours before the start | You are refunded automatically, minus the Padel Fast service fee. |
| You leave within 6 hours of the start | You are no longer eligible for a refund. |
| The tournament is cancelled | You are refunded the entry fee automatically; the service fee is not refunded. |
| The organizer refunds you | Organizers can refund any payment from their wallet at any time. |
A refund can take up to 5 business days to appear in your account. Once refunded, you can't rejoin that tournament.
5. Receipts and your purchases
Stripe emails you a receipt for every successful payment. You can also find all your entry-fee payments — with their status and receipts — under Purchases in your dashboard. See the Purchases, receipts and refunds guide.
