Watch: starting and scoring a tournament

When your players and teams are in place, start the tournament to generate the first round. Before starting, Padel Fast checks that you have a valid line-up for the chosen format.

Tap Start tournament.

The green Start button is in the lobby control bar at the top of the tournament page.

Starting checks the format's rules — the minimum and maximum number of players, gender balance for Mix formats, and that team formats have complete pairs. If something is missing, you will see a message explaining what to fix.

2. Scoring matches

Once a round is generated, each match shows a score box for both sides. The organizer and the players in a match can enter its result.

Tap the score on a match card.

This opens the score entry for that match.

Enter the result.

For point-based systems you pick from preset score combinations. For time-based and standard systems you enter each side's score with plus/minus buttons. Classic uses traditional tennis values.

Saving a score marks the match as done and updates the live scoreboard immediately. You can tap a completed score again to correct it.

3. Match timers

When the tournament uses the Time scoring system, each match can run on a countdown timer so every court finishes together.

Tap the timer button on a match.

As the organizer, start the timer for a match. You are asked to confirm before it begins.

The match card then shows a live mm:ss countdown. When time is up, an alert tells you the match has ended so you can enter the final score. Timers are shown on the big-screen (TV) view as well.

4. Moving through rounds

Continue to the next round

Once every match in a round is scored, a Continue button generates the next round using the current standings. Group and cup formats continue until the final match remains.

Shuffle (Mexicano)

In Mexicano tournaments you can re-shuffle the pairings of the current (last) round if you want different matchups. This cannot be undone.

Revert a round

For formats that support it, you can revert to the previous round if a round was generated by mistake. This also cannot be undone.

Skip players

In Americano and Round Robin formats you can mark players to sit out, so they are left out of the next round's pairings.

5. Playoffs

Most formats can move into a knockout playoff stage after the main rounds. Playoffs create a fresh bracket seeded from the standings.

Open the options menu and choose Start playoffs.

Confirm to begin. Turn on 'only leading players' first if you want to include just the top-ranked players in the bracket.

After each playoff round is completed, a Continue button advances the bracket until a winner is decided.

6. Finishing the tournament

Choose Finish from the options menu.

Finish becomes available once all rounds are complete. It locks in the final standings and produces the result record.

The finished tournament keeps its full scoreboard, which players can view from their profiles.
