  Perfect for our relaxing vacation The property is super well maintained and must give a great credit to GM, Khun Simon and his team. There are so many activities onsite eg. SUP board, surfing, canoe, tennis, padel etc. The service is extremely amazing, we were so spoiled by Khun Ing, Khun Oak and Khun QQ and thank you very much to all of the staffs who take a good care of us. The room is super clean and spotless. Comfy bed with premium bed sheets…love it!!!! Many choices of breakfast selection and good quality especially the section of the mini cake that I can try all type of pastries in small bites, cool idea to avoid food waste!! Great job team, we will be back again.

  The hotel was great. The staff was friendly especially the uncle at the zoo if you want to feed the animals you can tell him and he will give you the food. The room was HUGE I stay at two bedroom family suite. The price was not too expensive. And the hotel have so many activities to do Ex. Golf course, tennis court, rock climbing, surfboard, arcade room, kid club etc. And all of this was FREE.

  Unfortunately, my overall impression of the stay was negatively affected by an unpleasant situation during breakfast. I came to breakfast wearing shorts, a top, and a long cardigan-style cover-up. I was not wearing a swimsuit or underwear, and my outfit was completely appropriate for a beachfront resort. Everything was properly covered. However, a member of staff approached me and told me that I needed to “cover up,” explaining that “this is how it is done here.” I found this approach uncomfortable and inappropriate. If the hotel has a specific dress code for the breakfast area, it should be clearly communicated to guests in advance. In addition, I could not find any clearly stated breakfast dress code on the hotel’s official website. At the same time, during breakfast I saw two or three other women wearing shorts and tops without any cover-up at all. This naturally made me wonder whether they were given the same remark and whether these rules are being applied equally to all guests. Avani+ Khao Lak presents itself as a five-star beachfront resort with pools, beach facilities, and a relaxed resort atmosphere, so I did not expect to be made to feel uncomfortable for wearing completely normal resort clothing. I came here to relax and feel comfortable and welcome, not to feel judged or criticized for my appearance. This situation left a very unpleasant impression. I hope the management pays attention not only to the rules themselves, but also to how staff communicate them to guests, how clearly these rules are stated in advance, and whether they are applied consistently to everyone.
