  First time at BARC and was so impressed. It was busy with parties, football club presentations and bowls tournaments but we still received wonderful friendly service and great food. Thanks for having us :)

  We had a 60th birthday at the Cockburn BARC. It was absolutely fantastic. Right from the start dealing with the staff at the BARC was a pleasure. The whole process was made easy for us because of the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. Geraldine and Alice are the ladies to speak to, brilliant. The facility itself was also fantastic. Plenty of room in the function room for a large number of people. Projector screen for showing a slideshow of pictures on. A small stage for a DJ to set up and play music and a big dance floor for everyone to enjoy. The bar and kitchen staff on the night were great. Nothing was to much trouble and every thing was done with a smile on their face. All of the above contributed to my wife having a fantastic birthday. We would recommend using the Cockburn BARC for any function.

  We booked for 40 people and paid per head, but were given only 2 tables and fewer than 15 chairs, forcing us to track down staff and move all the furniture ourselves. I specifically requested a heated area when booking, yet the heaters were turned off multiple times, and when guests politely asked to have them turned back on, staff gave them attitude and told them they would get to it when they had time. The lawn bowls setup was the most stressful part of the night, though the coaches themselves were great and we appreciate their time, the real issue was a total lack of communication during booking since we were never told how the lawn bowls arrangement would work. To top it all off, the food was a major disappointment with rock-hard bruschetta and overcooked, tough, cold chips, chicken, and arancini after we shelled out an extra $700 for food that was mostly inedible. Between the lack of basic setup, rude service, communication failures, and terrible food, we are beyond disappointed and deeply regret choosing Cockburn BARC for our event.
